GBCC Second Annual Charity Car Show Success

Celebrating their 10th Year !

Great event this year. Together, we all raised $20,000.00 cash and $40,000.00 in consumables such as toiletries and magazines for our Vets!

Just a quick thank you to EVERYONE ! What a great first meeting we had today. With over 30 people attending, it was a really great way to start the ball rolling. One thing I really took away from the meeting is that we have a great group of really high quality, classy people! It was a joy to meet all of you. A sincere thank you to everyone and to those who chose to contribute on the board, a big thanks.

We will be discussing our next meeting prior to the February 23rd meeting in Dover, so stay tuned in !

Aaaaaand away we go !

Here we go:
Next Meeting:  Saturday, February 8th @ 10:00 am
Location:  Grill 28 on Pease, Portsmouth, NH  (same place as last time !)
Grill 28 will set us up with coffee, scones, muffins etc.  It comes to $3.75, plus tax and tip, per head.  Seemed pretty cheap.
I’ve been spending quite a few hours trying to nail down a place for our show in September, along with hotel accommodations.  Finding a big enough area to hold a lot of cars, hotel dates that were open and a hotel that can hold a dinner, proved to be tough duty.  We’re pretty close though!  We’ll find out more over the next few days.  We’ll have plenty to talk about on Saturday so we can get everything in line for the February 23rd meeting.
I’ve spoken to Marisa at Franciscan Children’s Hospital and they are extremely excited to have our support.  We’ll go over this on Saturday as well.
Phil/Tina Miles:  Please let Joe D. know about the meeting.  I’m sure I’ll get his application today, but just in case.  I don’t have his email as of yet.
Lastly, please give some thought if you’re planning on going to the ‘Back 2 the Beach’ event.  I know there are at least 5 of us going as of today.  Please let me know on Saturday and send your deposits into Ralph Q.  His website will give you all the info.  I want to make sure we’re all together.  If you have any questions, let me know on Saturday.
See everyone there !  If you can’t make it, let me know and I’ll fill you in after.  Gail/Ed, you’re in the warm weather so I don’t feel bad for you guys, but I will bring you up to speed and email you on Sunday morning.
Driven to make a difference!
